> Palmerston Garden Circle's bus trip to eight lakes leaves from behind Palmerston Community Centre at 8.30am. Bring a chair, morning tea and lunch. Chairman's challenge: write a four-line ditty on the outside of an envelope - write your name on paper and enclose inside envelope. Members can invite a friend, spouse or neighbour on this trip, for any spare seats that members don't use, on a first-in-first-served basis. Cost, $20. Money to Allison by 18th. Phone: 465-1718.
