What was the best birthday present you ever received, and why?

I think it was my 12th birthday. It was a Raleigh Grifter bike. It was metallic red, and had Sturmey-Archer twist-grip gears and knobbly tyres. I can remember walking into the front roomat home and it was there before me, set up on its stand, glowing.

What smell do you find irresistible?

Bacon.

What is your least favourite thing about humanity?

People doing wrong to others. I hate to see anyone intentionally doing wrong to someone else. Can you imagine if, just for one day, we all agreed to do something good for someone else.

What is one strong childhood memory?

Playing on the street in Lobwood, Worsbrough with my mates. No parked cars, few cars driving up the street. It was mainly football between the gates on each side of the street, but also: Kick Out Can, Watter 123 (hide and seek in teams), and Corsey Edge.

Corsey Edge rules: Two kids stand on opposite sides of the road on the kerb. One throws a ball aiming to hit thekerb right on the edge (corsey edge) so the ball bounces straight back to them. If it does, theyget a point and throw again. If it doesn't, the other player gets a turn.

Oh, what fond memories they are.

What is your message?

Every day you should LILYLI (Live it Like You Love it). And also, come and check out this city. It's pretty cool.
