Police will resume a search for body parts in a Melbourne river after a forearm was found next to a Masterchef judge's restaurant.
The forearm - severed at the elbow and wrist - was seen floating near the jetty outside Gary Mehigan's Boathouse restaurant on the Maribyrnong River on Thursday.
Further searches found another part of a limb and a black plastic bag containing human flesh further upstream.
Homicide squad detective senior sergeant Stuart Bailey said it was unclear where the white-skinned body parts had been dumped.
"The river is guided by the tides," he told reporters on Thursday night.
"How long the human remains have been in that river is uncertain."
