Artwork from Macandrew Bay School pupils will be auctioned this week alongside jewellery by Chris Idour and ceramics by Jodie Austin in the fifth Peninsula Art and Craft Auction, held every two years.

The school runs the auction to raise funds to pay artists to work with pupils at the school.

Principal Bernadette Newlands said it allowed the school to "enhance our creative arts programmes" for pupils.

The current art project involves children creating clay tiles to be attached to sculptures to mark the school's 150th anniversary.

The auction will be held at Glenfalloch on Thursday at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from the school for $15.
