Big acts for OUSA Afterparty

Three big name artists including Tinie Tempah are set to perform at a Forsyth Barr Stadium dance party in March.

Otago University Students' Association events and communications manager Dan Hendra was ''stoked'' to have secured three major artists for the final Orientation event - the Afterparty - on March 6.

He expected the 8000 tickets that go on sale at 9am today to sell quickly.

The three acts include British rapper Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, better known as Tinie Tempah, who won two Brit Awards for best British breakthrough act and best British single in 2011.

Also set to headline are Chase & Status, the British electronic music production duo Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status).

The duo won the best live act award at the Drum and Bass Awards in 2011. Also on the bill is Nick Douwma, better known as British electronic music producer Sub Focus, who played at Glastonbury last year.

Tickets are available from www.otagoori.co.nz
