A small but vocal crowd of about 30 supporters gathered at Dunedin Airport yesterday to see the team off ahead of their National Provincial Championship final against Canterbury in Christchurch this afternoon.

King’s High School students Hayden Symister and Cruz Hinson, both 15, were pleased to see some school alumni in the team.

They thought it would be a close game, but hoped to see Otago return with the silverware tomorrow.

"[We need to] play good offence and defence and don’t let Canterbury score," Hayden said.
