A Dunedin student flat has had their Friday evening disrupted after a car hit the lounge wall of their Cumberland St unit.
A Dunedin City Council building inspector has been brought in to assess the stability of the building.
Emergency services were called at about 6.20pm but there were no reports of injury and no arrests made, a police spokesman said.
