Earthmoving equipment was hard at work on the former Carisbrook stadium site in South Dunedin yesterday. Attempts to contact owners Calder Stewart Land Holdings Ltd, to find out what is planned for the site, failed yesterday.

A Dunedin City Council spokesman said no resource consent applications had been filed yet, and the activity was possibly aimed at tidying and compacting the ground.
