Centre closed

The community-based assessment centre in Dunedin will be stood down for tomorrow's Rugby World Cup game in the city after it dealt with only two patients last Saturday.

Southern District Health Board emergency management service leader Murray Halbert said decisions about the centre would be made game by game. People had been "absolutely great" at last weekend's game and had been enjoying themselves generally without incident.

The crowd at tomorrow's game between England and Romania was not expected to be as large as last Saturday's and it was also an earlier game, he said.
