Customers of an inner-city Dunedin bar had to evacuate because of a smouldering switchboard last night.
Woof! bar co-director Dudley Benson said about 8.15pm customers had been allowed to return and the business was operating by candlelight.
The incident at the Moray Pl business resulted in three fire appliances being dispatched to the scene shortly before 7pm, a Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said.
