A cyclist and driver who became embroiled in a violent road rage incident in central Dunedin yesterday morning both reported the incident to police.
A police spokeswoman said the incident happened shortly after 10am near the intersection of London and George Sts.
It appeared be a road-rage incident involving ``pushing between the two parties,'' while initial indications also suggested a punch had been thrown, the spokeswoman said.
The cyclist phoned police to report the incident, while the driver went to Dunedin Central Police Station to lay their own complaint.
Neither party was reported to be injured.
Police inquiries continued yesterday afternoon.
