Drink-driver who crashed car five times over limit

A drink-driver who crashed his car while nearly five times the legal limit was as dangerous as a person waving around a gun, police say.

Constable Nick Turner said police were called to Forbury Rd at 11.20pm yesterday after a 29-year-old man crashed his car into a parked car. He blew 1172mcg.

"Someone driving at 1100mcg, everyone is at risk,'' he said.

"It's like some guy just waving around a gun.''
