Police are calling for information on a suspicious blaze which ripped through scrub in Dunedin earlier this week forcing residents from their homes.
The fire erupted in early on Monday, on a steep hillside above Kaikorai Valley College, near Marshall St in Bradford.
Residents evacuated several nearby homes before the blaze was brought under control by about 4.30am.
Police said this morning they wanted to hear from anyone with information about the suspicious blaze.

People with information are urged to contact Dunedin Police on (03) 471 4800 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Fire and Emergency NZ fire risk management officer Mike Cahill, of Invercargill, was at the scene investigating earlier this week and told the Otago Daily Times he believed the fire was deliberately lit.
