Two teens will appear in the Dunedin District Court following a crash on Mt Cargill.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said an 18-year-old was driving down Mt Cargill Rd about 1.15pm yesterday when he took a corner too fast and crashed into the roadside.
‘‘He’s gone around an advisory speed corner of 25kmh at around 70kmh. As a result, he’s got stuck.’’
Officers attended the incident and during their investigation smelt cannabis in the car, Snr Sgt Bond said.
A search uncovered a small amount of cannabis and two bongs.
A 19-year-old passenger in the vehicle had a warrant out for his arrest, so he was arrested and was due to appear in the Dunedin District Court.
‘‘The driver has been summonsed for unnecessary exhibition of speed or acceleration.’’
