The Snorlax Pokemon belonging to Isaac Murphy, 8, of Dunedin, was one of about 250 creatures and teddy bears to be treated at the Teddy Bear Hospital in the Hunter Centre at the University of Otago on Saturday.
Poorly teddies were assessed and treated at nine different stations run by University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic Te Pūkenga health professional students.
Event co-ordinator and third-year medical student Leilani Jones said the idea behind the clinic was to help children feel positive about visiting the doctor, dentist or other health professionals.
There will be another Teddy Bear Hospital clinic at Carisbrook School on September 16, from 10am to 2pm.
