A man was knocked unconscious after a driver allegedly mounted the footpath in his car and drove into him, police say.
The driver had returned to his home to find people outside his Mosgiel property just after 11am yesterday, Constable Jason Braid said.
The man drove his vehicle on to the pavement, hitting another man, in his 20s, who was knocked unconscious.
The man was later discharged from Dunedin Hospital.
Police later arrested a 35-year-old man and charged him with dangerous driving causing injury, and failing to stop to ascertain injury.
He is expected to appear in the Dunedin District Court next week.
The pair were known to each other, and were involved in a disagreement over property, Const Braid said.
