Dunedin attack suspect hands himself in

An 18-year-old man is being interviewed by Dunedin police this morning in relation to a domestic attack that left a Dunedin woman fighting for her life in Dunedin Hospital's intensive care unit.

The woman remains in intensive care today, after she was attacked at a house in South Rd in the Dunedin suburb of Concord about midday yesterday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Kallum Croudis said the man handed himself in to police about 9am this morning, after 21 hours on the run.

The man will appear in Dunedin District Court tomorow.
