Dunedin airport

Dunedin Airport is open for business again after flights were grounded earlier.

Dunedin Airport chief executive Richard Roberts said there had been no departures from the airport this morning.

An ATR flight from Christchurch had been turned back.

There was ''wet slush'' on the runway, but the temperature at 10am was above 1degC.

The airport did not use snow ploughs when there was slush on the runway, as they were likely to be compacted into pack ice.
