''This year, I would like to get to know people better ... to develop existing friendships and maybe make some new ones.''
Keely McLeod (17) said her resolution this year was to get her restricted driver licence.
She and her twin sister were getting their licences and they both needed precious practising time in the family car.
''We are very egalitarian - we want to have exactly the same, at exactly the same time, so it takes a while,'' she said.
Her resolution last year, to successfully finish her final year at high school, was achieved.
''I did surprisingly well.''
Her twin, Tahlia, said her resolution was to ''love people more'' and not be so quick to judge.
Last year, she kept her resolution to wake up earlier.

Her husband's resolution would be difficult to maintain in France, she said.
Brent Wishart (49) said his resolution was to eat less butter, ''except when in France.''
Last year, he failed to keep his resolution of watching fewer hours of television.
Both families cheered when Ben Wishart (14) said his resolution was to spend less time on his computer.
