Engineering problems caused a flight from Brisbane to Dunedin with 108 passengers on board to be delayed for 15 hours yesterday.
A Virgin Airlines spokeswoman said passengers not from Brisbane were accommodated in hotels by the airline, while those from the city went home for the night.
The plane arrived in Dunedin at 3pm.
