Flights are back on after fog delayed flights at Dunedin Airport for the second time this week.

Earlier today an airport spokeswoman said an Auckland flight left at 6.25am, but all other flights were ''still on the ground''.

There were jets due to land in the next hour, and she was not sure whether that would be possible.

''We're just hoping it burns off.''

The weather settled down in the late morning allowing flights to and from Dunedin go ahead.
