Performers in the University of Otago Malaysian Students Association show Malam Malaysia 2017 perform in the College of Education auditorium on Saturday night.
Association vice-president Victor Lu said this year’s show, "1945: Year of the Black Sun", was set in colonial Malaya and portrayed three men from conflicting backgrounds fighting for independence from Britain.
The show, which marked Malaysia’s 60th anniversary of independence, was held to promote the culture in Dunedin.
The cast numbered more than 100.
