Two Dunedin judges were abused outside the Dunedin District Court yesterday.

Police, who would not comment on the identity or occupation of the two men involved, confirmed they were called to ''an incident where an occupant of a car driving near the courthouse in High St shouted at two individuals, before then driving off''.

A Ministry of Justice spokeswoman said she was making inquiries into the incident.

Justice Minister Amy Adams was inside the court at the time of the incident, about 2.30pm, but was unaware of it.
