Major overhaul of playground

Work has begun on the revamp of the Opoho Park Playground. A council spokesman said it would take six to eight weeks to complete, and include such additions as a new tube slide with platform, a four-bay swing and a ‘‘challenging’’ obstacle course. Some existing equipment will remain, such as the climbing wall and the spinner and play module.
