A Dunedin man was pepper-sprayed after he attempted to fight police early on Monday morning.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said an 18-year-old man, who was a disqualified driver, decided he wanted to fight police when he found out his car was going to be impounded.
He was pepper-sprayed, arrested and charged with driving while suspended and behaving threateningly.
The police officer did not sustain any injuries.
