An Otago University graduate, whose father is a German politician, has reportedly been found dead in an Edinburgh flat.
Stephan Bisky, 23, a PhD student at Edinburgh University, was the son of Lothar Bisky, the joint leader of Germany's socialist Left Party, the London-based Telegraph website reported today.
A police spokesman said they were called to a flat on Christmas Eve following the discovery of a 23-year-old man's body. There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Mr Bisky moved to Scotland after graduating from Otago University in 2006 with a first class honours degree in neuroscience.
