Police are disappointed following the arrest of three drivers on alleged drink-driving offences yesterday.
A 23-year-old man was arrested after he drove his car into four parked cars in Shore St, Musselburgh, Senior Sergeant Mel Aitken, of Dunedin, said.
The man's breath alcohol was recorded at 887mcg per litre of breath, more than twice the legal limit.
Just after midnight, a 29-year-old female recording 735mcg, was arrested following a routine police stop on Filleul St.
Another random stop in Stafford St at 4.30am resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old male after he recorded 956mcg.
"To get three [drink-drivers] on a Wednesday night with no real events on in the city is disappointing," she said.
All three would appear in the Dunedin District Court within a week. Police are appealing for information following three sightings of an well spoken naked man of "medium build" in South Dunedin yesterday morning.
Senior Sergeant Mel Aitken, of Dunedin, said the man was described as being 180cm tall, of medium build and "nicely spoken".
The naked man was spotted holding his clothes and walking along Macandrew Rd near Bathgate Park at 6.30am with another man, who was fully clothed.
While the naked man was believed to be involved in a prank, it was a concern that he jumped out in front of a pedestrian, she said.
"Regardless of it being a prank, it is still a concern for members of the public."
