Can you help? Dunedin police want assistance finding this man, allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery in central Dunedin earlier this month. Photo supplied.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man thought to be involved in an aggravated robbery in central Dunedin earlier this month, and are appealing to the public for help finding the alleged offender.

Two men were approached by a man who threatened them with a knife and ran off with a sum of money.

The incident occurred on the corner of Moray Pl and George St at 5am on April 1, with the CCTV image taken from a nearby business premises.

The man was described as a male caucasian, about 175cm tall, of slim build and aged between 30 and 40.

He sported shoulder-length scruffy dark hair, had stubble on his face and was wearing a knee-length dark-coloured trench coat similar to an oilskin raincoat.

Detective Rebecca Hill said the man was considered dangerous and should not be approached, but people who knew his identity could contact her or Detective John MacDade on 03 471-4800.
