Dunedin fashion designer Donna Tulloch has been selected as Toitu Otago Settlers Museum contemporary designer for this year, and one of her garments went on display at the museum yesterday.

Mrs Tulloch, of Mild-Red, was yesterday delighted with the ``honour'' of being selected as the museum's latest annual contemporary designer.

The museum display is linked to the latest iD Dunedin Fashion Week, which starts on Saturday.

Mrs Tulloch's garment, from the Black Knight Collection (2011), will be on display at the museum's costume and textiles area until early next year.

The garment features a ``knitted cotton/metal coat with exclusive polyester bubble wrap fabric''.

The designer will talk about her work to Otago Polytechnic lecturer Dr Jane Malthus on Thursday next week at the museum.
