Camilla Stoddart's image of professional mountain biker Kelly McGarry at St Bathans is one of three Otago entries among the 39 finalists for the New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the Year to be announced this month.
The entries of Ms Stoddart, of Tarras, Ross Curtis, of Waikouaiti, and Craig Bullock, of Dunedin, were chosen from 3100 contributions.
Mr Curtis photographed a wolf spider in the Pororari Valley, Westland, and Mr Bullock caught a large male sea lion yawning at Sandfly Bay on Otago Peninsula.
