Stabbing accused named, remanded

A woman arrested after a stabbing outside a house in Wakari Rd early on Sunday was remanded to May 1 when she appeared in the Dunedin District Court yesterday.

Samantha Cherie White (32), unemployed, faces an indictably-laid charge of wounding Scott Dennison with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to him, on Sunday.

Police did not oppose bail, but conditions of bail include requirement to live at a specified address, under a 9pm to 7am curfew; not to have contact with two named people, not to go to a given address, and not to consume alcohol or drugs.

White appeared before justice of the peace Robert Montgomery and was represented by counsel Sarah Saunderson-Warner.

Dennison remains in a stable condition at Dunedin Hospital.
