Stars prepare for a night of whimsy, wonder

Rehearsing ahead of a show in Dunedin on Thursday are Rama Tapp, being held up by Eli Joseph, and Xanthe Naylor, spinning an LED poi.

They are just a few of the performers to be showcased in the cabaret and circus performance Star Dust.

The show, which is to be held over three nights at Te Whare o Rukutia, in Princes St, will have everything from pole dancing to poi.

Mr Joseph, a performer and the show’s stage manager, said although the acts could be a "little saucy" there would be something for everyone.

"You could bring your nana but maybe not a nun," he said.

He described the show as seeking to create a series of beautiful images, in a night of whimsy and wonder.
