Two senior DCC jobs filled

Two senior Dunedin City Council jobs have been filled, with the employment of a new city property manager and transportation operations manager.

Robert Clark, originally from Dunedin, has replaced Dave McKenzie as city property manager.

Mr McKenzie left the council last year to take over as general manager of Zelko New Zealand Ltd.

Mr Clark (56) attended Kings High School and has a background in property consultancy.

Graeme Hamilton has replaced Mike Costelloe as transportation operations manager.

Mr Costelloe left earlier this year totake up a position in Melbourne.

Mr Hamilton moved to the council from the Waimate District Council, and has worked in his field in New Zealand and overseas, including in Canada.

Positions at the council that still need to be filled include a replacement for former Dunedin Public Art Gallery and Otago Settlers Museum director Priscilla Pitts.

The council is also seeking a replacement for former council architect Robert Tongue, who left this year after 20 years with the local authority, and planning policy manager Anne Cheng, who was officially farewelled last December for a new job with the Papakura District Council after two and a-half years in Dunedin.

That job is expected to be filled by a single person.
