24 teams from 18 different Dunedin businesses and organisations will compete for bragging rights on Tuesday 24 November at the Sport Otago annual Virtual Triathlon.
The event is held annually in the Octagon as part of Push Play celebrations and is the first event in a summer of activities which encourage people to be active.
This is the 5th time the event has been held and this year will have been held for three consecutive years.
Competitors will firstly row 1500m on a rowing machine, then bike for 3km on a stationary bike, followed by a 1500m run around the carriageway in the Octagon.
Four rounds will be held, starting at 12.00noon, 12.20pm, 12.40pm, and the final heat at 1.00pm.
Organisations involved include: CRT, Dunedin City Council, Dunedin Casino, Scenic Circle Hotels, Pacific Islands Centre (University of Otago), Gallaway Cook Allan, Well Dunedin, ASB Bank, Academy of Sport South Island, Parker Warburton Team Architecture, SCL Limited, World Fitness Centre, Sport Otago, CPG, Public Health South, NZ Transport Agency, Polson Higgs, and Deloitte.
