Dunedin City Council senior project manager Susil Gunathilake said the planned work was part of the Bath St pipe upgrade project.
"Our contractor is replacing the DCC stormwater pipe in the alleyway between Age Concern and Escape Artists, which requires some excavation in Bath St."
