Valerie Hargrave, 81, left her Woolston home in the St John St area about 10.30am on Saturday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Baillie said after days of extensive searching by police teams, assisted by members of the public, she was located the suburb of Ferrymead this evening.
“She was extremely cold, but is talking to police and will be sent for a medical examination.
“Her family have been notified of this great result.”
Det Snr Sgt Baillie said police wanted to thank everyone who assisted with the search in recent days.
