Police are investigating reports a man robbed an Auckland bank at gunpoint this afternoon.
Initial reports are that a man entered the bank on Blockhouse Bay Rd and presented a firearm, a police spokesperson confirmed.
Nobody was injured.
A man at Mai Sushi down the road said a customer told him he saw a man in the street with a gun.
Another customer at a nearby business told employees they could see a man running down the street late this afternoon.
Businesses around the bank say there are police cars out in the street at the moment.
Police have not yet said whether any money was taken.
