Bail has been granted to a North Canterbury farm worker charged with the knife-point robbery of a suburban dairy in Christchurch.
Sebastian David James Mann, 19, a dairy worker at Balmoral, 11km southwest of Culverdon, was arrested last week and held in custody for the November 16 robbery of the Sunlake Dairy in Opawa Road.
Police say a robber armed with a knife held up the woman staff member and got away with cash and cigarettes.
Mann also faces a charge of theft for a petrol drive-off at the Shell Raceway service station in Addington. No pleas have been entered.
Christchurch District Court Judge Colin Doherty agreed to release Mann on strict bail conditions, and remanded him to December 15.
