An Invercargill 18-year-old has been arrested for allegedly deliberately running over a man who was riding a bike.
Senior Sergeant Dave Raynes of Invercargill police told the Southland Times the teenager allegedly chased the man with a car before running him over, just after 10pm on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old rider suffered grazes to his hand and abdomen.
Both men were understood to have known each other before the incident.
The teenager, who has interim name suppression, has been remanded at large without plea and will appear in the Invercargill District Court next month.
