
Former Mangere MP Taito Phillip Field
The jury of six women and four men retired late on Thursday and have been considering the 35 charges against the former Mangere MP for more than 20 hours.
The panel is due to resume deliberations in the High Court at 9am.
Field has denied 12 charges of bribery and corruption arising from allegations that he had Thai nationals carry out work on his properties in return for immigration assistance.
He has also denied 23 charges of wilfully attempting to obstruct or pervert the course of justice during investigations into work on the properties.
