The mystery of how an apparently healthy 13-year-old Kaitaia girl died over the weekend may be solved next week when test results are returned to the pathologist.
Avid kickboxer Jaylene Carol Rossena Pai went to bed on Saturday night after watching television with her family and a friend but did not wake up the next morning.
Her family told the New Zealand Herald Jaylene had suffered from asthma but had never required hospital treatment.
