An 18-year-old man showed up at an Auckland emergency room with a gunshot wound last night.
Police are investigating after the man, along with two other men, arrived at Takanini Accident and Emergency in what was found to be a stolen car, police said.
The nature of the injuries led medical staff to contact police.
The man has been transferred to hospital where he will undergo surgery for non life-threatening injuries.
The two other men are assisting police with their enquiries.
