A man has been killed in a collision between a car and a truck in Gisborne.
A spokeswoman for Gisborne police said the accident happened at the intersection of Rutene Road and Maki Street, just north of the central city, about 6pm yesterday.
The man's family were being notified and no further details were available this morning.
