Two men killed in a multi-million dollar Auckland mansion last week have been named.

They were Zhuo "Michael" Wu and Yishan "Tom" Zhong, whose bodies were found at the property on Stilwell Rd, Mt Albert, on Friday morning.

The 51-year-old man accused of their murders briefly appeared in Auckland District Court this morning and had an interim name suppression order continued, after his lawyer, David Jones, QC, said members of his family had not yet been made aware of the charges.

One of the bodies was found on the driveway of the $2 million mansion, the other was reportedly inside the house.

Police have not said how they died.

The accused man was remanded in custody until February 7, when a bail application "may well" be made, his lawyer said.

The interim order suppressing publication of his name expires at midday on Friday.

The accused is unemployed and is from China.
