A motorcyclists is dead after colliding with a car in the east Auckland suburb of Penrose this morning.
The crash happened on the corner of Rockfield and Mt Smart Rds about 7am, police said.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Mt Smart Rd is closed between Felix and Maurice Rds and Rockfield Rd is closed from Edmonton Rd.
Police said they were seeking witnesses to the crash.
