One person is dead and two were seriously injured when a truck and another vehicle collided near Ruakaka, south of Whangarei, this morning.
The crash happened about 7.30am on State Highway 1, south of Flyger Rd.
The highway is completely blocked and diversions are in place.
Traffic is being diverted from Paparoa/Oakley Rd through to Paparoa and then onto State Highway 12 through to Maungaturoto, returning to State Highway One just south of the Brynderwyns.
