One man dead after Rotorua crash

One man is dead following a two-car crash near Rotorua Airport today.

The crash, which happened about 4.35pm on Te Ngae Road just south of the airport, involved a southbound car colliding with another car which had pulled out of a side road, police said.

The driver of the car that pulled out died at the scene.

The other driver was not injured, and there were no passengers in either vehicle.

The dead man's name would not be released until next of kin had been notified, police said.
