The Topp Twins were inducted into the New Zealand music's hall of fame tonight, while Opshop won song of the year with One Day at the Apra Silver Scroll awards in Auckland.
Lynda and Jools Topp joined Jordan Luck and Johnny Devlin, the inaugural inductees last year, into the hall of fame. The country-singing commediennes have been entertaining New Zealand audiences for more than 25 years.
Prime Minister Helen Clark presented Opshop with the best song award, after Apra's songwriting members voted them winners over other finalists Liam Finn, Anika Moa, the Phoenix Foundation and Elemeno P.
Opshop, comprising Jason Kerrison, Bobby Kennedy, Matt Treacy and Clinton Harris, also received the award for the most performed New Zealand song with One Day.
