Police found nearly $250,000 in cash, 6kg of drugs and weapons in the Manukau area during two separate incidents at the weekend.
Counties Manukau police said they were called out on Friday at about 9.30pm to a possible domestic dispute in Ronwood Avenue and found two men standing next to their vehicle who smelled of cannabis.
Police searched the vehicle, and seized $242,000 in cash, 1kg of cannabis, a stun gun, other weapons and stolen property.
Detective Inspector John Tims said the vehicle was linked to a house in Kaitaia. Northland police searched the property over the weekend and found more drugs.
Two men, aged 32 and 40, have been charged and were remanded in custody.
On Sunday, a 37-year-old man was pulled over on Preston Road in Otara for speeding at about 2.40am.
After detecting a strong cannabis smell, two officers searched the car and found 5kg of cannabis in the boot.
"The two officers also found paperwork that led to the finding of a cannabis cultivation at a storage unit in Otara," Mr Tims said.
"We executed a search warrant on the premises and saw what we would describe as a 'sophisticated commercial scale growing operation'. The storage unit had separate growing rooms and drying rooms."
The man was charged with possession of cannabis for supply.
Police are still investigating.
