SKy TV software upgrade causes fault

A Sky TV fault that left customers unable to change channels yesterday was caused by a software upgrade, the company said.

An unknown number of subscribers with "set top box" digital decoders were affected.

Subscribers experiencing the issue should unplug the decoder from the power source, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in, and wait for the decoder to reset, the station said.

If resetting the decoder doesn't fix the problem, customers should contact Sky TV.
